The advantages of COB technology
First point: Compared with traditional SMD products, the biggest advantage of COB products is that they are more integrated and can achieve higher resolution and better display effects.
SMD products have frame encloses the chips, This frame occupies a very large volume and will hinder the distance between the two sets of LED chips. But the chips of COB products are directly fixed on our PCB board, and our COB The distance between the chips there is no frame, so COB will higher integration level and higher pixel density can be achieved.
Second point: COB products will dissipate heat better. The chips of traditional SMD products will generate heat when they working. This heat needs to pass through frame first and then be transferred to the PCB board and then dissipation. But The chip of COB products is direct fixed with the PCB board. The heat generated when working can be directly transferred through the PCB board and dissipation, so COB heat dissipation will be better.
The third point: COB products are more reliable, The lamp of traditional SMD products are directly exposed to the outside, It is easy to crash and cause broken lamps, and water vapor and dust can cause short circuit problems. The entire surface of the COB product is encapsulated, completely protecting the entire circuit within the encapsulation layer and providing additional physical protection. For example, tapping and scratching are absolutely no problem.
Point 4: COB products change from a traditional point light source to an area light source. When you take videos or pictures to the screen with a mobile phone or camera, the moiré pattern will be even milder.
